ZATTE SCULPTURE
This sculpture was created by the artist Bénédicte Vallet in 2020. It is made up of porcelain pieces, tied with a hemp rope. Questioning the material, Bénédicte Vallet recomposes a porcelain biosphere, where the pieces resonate together through the recurrence of certain patterns, with their own unique sounds. The hemp weaving of the works, composed of natural elements, seems to give life to a modular organism. These luminous sculptures are for the most part floating, and reveal an extraordinary bestiary composed of coral motifs… Between the mineral and the aquatic, the bone and the coral, placed at the borders of life, between species and elements, this research sculptures are protean. These require memory buried common to living beings.
