Untitled Torso II is a sculpture by the artist Vernon dated 2023. It represents a bust without identity, with simplified, geometric and minimal forms. The sculpture refers both to an idealised world in reference to antiquity, and to a gentle, ghostly presence that invites meditation or contemplation. In shaping these busts, Vernon brings to life characters who are absent from his painted work. The artist animates the material as it passes through his hands.
