Untitled I, Construction

The sculpture Untitled 1, Construction, created in 2024, consists of a pair of molded glass columns. Its geometric form and slender appearance, emphasized by white and colored mesh, evoke easily identi- fiable architectural and minimalist formulas. The object appeals to the viewer’s visual and tactile senses. Each face presents a unique motif and tells the story of how the object was conceived. Rough, unworked faces, revealing the stacking of glass blocks and successive firings, alternate with polished or sandblasted faces. The rough cut at the top adds rhythm to the composition, reminding us that working with glass is a test of strength between the craftsman and the material itself.
