Description
Rectiligne Coffee Table
The Rectiligne coffee table was created in 2024 by Isabelle Azema after several years of research into volumes. Inspired by François Cheng’s book Empty and full (1979), the artist embarked on a utopian quest to sculpt the void, to create a piece of furniture that sculpts the space in which it is installed. The top, made up of two elements, is punctuated by a narrow groove. The structure of the legs, with their narrow volumes positioned at right angles to each other, is reinforced by the vertical grain of the wood.
Production time is 16 weeks.
