Description
Fabien Barrerot-Carsenat’s Podium Puzzle is a piece that can be composed and recomposed. This small, manipulable sculpture is a direct reference to the architectural grammar that the artist particularly appreciates. With this piece, Barrerot-Carsenat breaks up his previous sculpture Podium II into independent pieces, turning the building into a city. The building becomes a city.
Fabien Barrero-Carsenat is very familiar with working with bronze and the effects produced by the passage of time or the handling of his pieces, and here he has chosen to use a very intense black patina that highlights the roughness of the object and reveals the blunt edges as if already worn by the passage of time.
