Description
The original Fireside chair model was designed by French architect Maxime Old for the VIP lounge at the Marseille – Marignane air terminal in 1961. The lounge’s furnishings included fireside chair accompanied by Maxime Old’s Saturne coffee table. This geometric model features a stained oak base with matte varnish, and a cream leather seat. The inclination of the seat and the difference in the height of the legs, characteristic of the designer’s research, underline the comfortable aspect of the armchair created by Maxime Old.
