Anne Jacquemin Sablon is delighted to announce its new collaboration with Pierre Rémi.
Pierre-Rémi Chauveau, who graduated top of his class from the Saint Martins School of Arts in London, is a contemporary furniture designer who lives and works near Lyon.
Deeply influenced by his childhood in Africa, he believes that furniture should tell a story.
His work as head of furniture for a well-known group has enabled him to build up his knowledge of the skills and crafts involved, and to develop strong partnerships.
In 2013, he founded Pierre-Rémi Studio with a threefold ambition: to keep on creating, to pursue collaborations rich in discoveries by working with talented craftsmen and to pass on unique furniture to customers looking for pieces that touch them artistically.
In every piece he creates, Pierre-Rémi strives to reveal a harmony of softness, movement and narrative. His work on curves is not just aesthetic: they carry an emotion and embody a quest for balance in proportions and materials. This meticulous yet deeply personal research gives his creations an organic dimension that invites the user to use them intuitively and poetically.
His encounter with the Mobilier National in 2019 at the Révélation Fair in Paris marked the pinnacle of a collaboration that has lasted for several years, with today around ten of his pieces integrated into their collections, such as the Ajour lamp and the Alcôve console, freshly completed in the ARC workshops.
