Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert

Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert trained in glassblowing techniques during a cosmopolitan apprenticeship between the United States and Europe from 1998 to 2007, before settling in France, where he alternates between working in workshops, residencies, workshops, and conferences. In 2015, within the Viaduc des Arts, located in a historic Parisian craft district known for its excellence, he opened his studio, where he blows all of his creations. The studio, which is made up of a team of around twenty people, now spans more than 500 square meters. A perfect blend of passion, creativity, craftsmanship, and teamwork, where knowledge transfer plays a key role, Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert’s creations are all unique and blown without molds.

Drawing on memories from his childhood in Africa, Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert creates works inspired by African art with a figurative tendency—evolving gradually toward a form of externalization. He then describes his environment through an aesthetic closer to abstraction.

Winner of the 2019 Bettencourt Prize for the Intelligence of the Hand, Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert has presented his sculptures at the Victoria & Albert Museum (Human Nature, London Design Festival, UK, 2014), at the Palais de Tokyo (Révélation, “Toguna,” curators Jean de Loisy and Sandra Adam-Couralet, France, 2018), and in a solo exhibition at MusVerre (France, 2022). His works have become part of public collections, including the Bibliothèque de France at the École Nationale des Chartes (France, 2020), the Mudac collection (Switzerland), the Kunstsammlungen der Veste Coburg/European Museum of Modern Glass (Germany), the Glasmuseum Alter Hof Herding, Ernsting Stiftung (Germany), and many private collections. His works are also displayed in exceptional interiors, such as the Providence restaurant (Los Angeles, USA, 2023), the Carlton hotels (Cannes, France, 2023), Crillon (Paris, France, 2023), Four Seasons (Megève, France, 2019), Nobu Portman (London, UK, 2019), as well as numerous private residences and flagship stores of major luxury brands across the five continents.
