Denis Perrollaz

Denis Perrollaz, born in 1965 in Madagascar, is a French artist. He spent his childhood in Africa and Germany. Arrived in France in 1982, he settles in Cannes in 1987, where he quickly began his career as a painter.

His early works already reflect his interest in materiality. He naturally uses natural components such as earth pigments, tar, metallic powders, and recycled synthetic materials like road signs, as well as rust collected from boat hulls when he set up his studio in Saint Barth.

The artist creates works that illustrate the forgotten relationship between humanity and nature. He restores balance between natural materials and industrial creations. His pieces stand as a testament to this meeting, often taking the forms of celestial bodies and planets, trees, or even horizons where the eyes can lose themselves.
