Alexandre Labruyère

Alexandre Labruyère is a designer of contemporary furniture and decorative objects. He lives and works in Lille (France).

He draws inspiration from his many travels and encounters to imagine, design and manufacture furniture and decorative objects. Initially trained in industrial design, he went on to explore many fields of object design (transport, art direction, luggage, etc.), which enabled him to expand his taste for materials, and his skills in using them. After several years with a major industrial sports company, in 2019 he will train as a cabinetmaker with GRETA, the École Boulle in Paris.

His work revolves around three fundamental axes: tension, lightness and simplicity. These three notions guide the research, experimentation, design and manufacture of all Alexandre’s products.

In 2023, Alexandre Labruyère’s Guéridon Pétiole entered the collections of the Mobilier National. It is the 2024 winner of the FD100 award, which each year recognizes the 100 most innovative French designers.
