Karregek Square Ottoman
The Karregek Ottomans designed by Hugo Falaise in 2024 are true works of textile art. Set on an olive-tree ash base, the seat is elegantly embellished with free-motion embroidery in flat-past and punch stitch, emphasising the object’s rounded appearance. In each of his creations, Hugo uses fabric as a backdrop, exploring both traditional and experimental embroidery techniques. Inspired by the deconstructivist and surrealist movements, his lines are both geometric and organic.
Each Karregek Square Ottoman requires 16 hours of hand embroidery by the designer.
